32-Camera NVR-side People Detection: Model Variant Comparison

Prepared as a 3rd-party product-evaluation narrative. Scope: normal/non-AI IP cameras, with people detection done by the NVR.

1. Executive Summary

The goal is 32 non-AI-enabled IP cameras, with people detection performed by the NVR Dahua NVR608H-32-XI, which is so far the only model in this shortlist that earns the clean “trusted” badge.
Hikvision DS-7732NXI-I4/S(E) is attractive on price, but level of searchable information had not given a clear indication of its trust level.
The trust level depends on suffix, firmware, and Hikvision-camera compatibility.
Hikvision iDS-9632NXI-I8/S looks powerful on paper, but for this exact 32-channel NVR-side people-detection requirement, it is not the hero model.
